Associate Creative Director, Art

 

We are looking for a ROCKSTAR Associate Creative Director (Art), with beautiful design chops, to help lead the creative direction on multiple CPG brands in partnership with an ACD, Copywriter.

Can You…

  • Provide “big picture” thinking for large CPG brands; strong Integrated ideas that problem solve
  • Work with an ACD, Copy partner and creative team to strategically develop positioning, creative concepts, advertising campaigns and social/emerging media programs for brands
  • Present and “sell” the worth of creative ideas
  • Present points of view/vision articulately and persuasively within Barbarian and with the client
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across agency disciplines
  • Develop and present creative briefs and defend the quality of associated creative output
  • Be considered a leader by teammates; maintain a strong relationship with internal team and clients
  • Participate in and facilitate brainstorming sessions
  • Assume direct responsibility for various assigned accounts
  • Manage work flow and creative assignments
  • Lead, mentor and inspire junior members of the creative team and provide design direction as needed

Do You Have…

  • 8+ years of ad agency experience
  • 3+ years experience producing Integrated campaigns, digital campaigns, experiential and film
  • An excellent conceptual portfolio of award winning work that demonstrates strong conceptual skills, beautiful executions and innovation in engaging consumers across multiple channels
  • Pitch experience
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Junior Creative Team (Art + Copy)

 

We are looking for an eager and talented *Junior Creative Team, made up of a writer and designer, ready for an incredible opportunity to flex their creative chops, and work across the trademark for an iconic, global brand, with a special focus on social media

Can you…

  • Partner with Producers, Art Directors and Social Media Leads to develop weekly content calendars across 5 distinct brands
  • Use conceptual thinking skills to develop strategically brand-focused ideas week-to-week, and execute on the fly:
    • Content design
    • Copy development
    • Photo concept/curation
    • Vines, Instagrams and additional content pieces on emerging platforms
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, designing for multiple interactive platforms (Currently on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Vine, and will likely leverage emerging platforms that 2014 brings)
  • Demonstrate creative versatility and the ability to adapt voice and tone, jumping from one brand’s content strategy and style guidelines to the next quickly

Do you have…

  • 1  year of  advertising/marketing industry experience
  • A bachelor’s degree, graduate degree from an Ad School preferred
  • A strong portfolio that presents integrated ideas and advertising/marketing concepts
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure concepts/designs/copy are communicating the desired message. Must be a team player
  • A good sense of humor

  • Expertise in current and emerging social channels and digital tools

Account Director

 

We are looking for an awesome strategic Account Director to lead the charge on multiple liquor brands.

The Account Director will be responsible for managing the client relationship across 4 digital/social AOR brands; while helping to organically grow the business through outstanding results and strategic thinking. This role requires a strong background in leading integration ideation sessions with multiple agencies to ensure Barbarian is at the helm. It also will require Hispanic integration as our target is multicultural, so that experience is a plus.

Can You…

  • Manage solid client relationships of multi-million dollar accounts and provide key strategic initiatives/thinking
  • Accountable for account growth, client satisfaction, and retention through identifying client’s requirements and developing accountable marketing programs to deliver business results
  • Develop and execute an engagement strategy in collaboration with the team and discipline leads
  • Interface with high -level clients such as the Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Marketing
  • Act as agency lead on cross-agency integrated marketing programs, by participating in multi-agency briefs and work sessions, contributing to overall planning process, representing the interactive opportunity, defining interactive tactics within programs/campaigns, and creating campaign plans
  • Manage account P&L from negotiating statements of work and retainers, making sure work is delivered on budget, and invoicing clients according to the proper terms, while increasing ROI for the agency
  • Independently lead and make decisions that properly balance the needs of account such as those of clients, internal goals and teams
  • Plan all engagements including: goals, deliverables, schedules and budgets by managing the workflow process
  • With support from agency producers, prioritize projects and resources and work across accounts to ensure that teams are staffed appropriately
  • Serve as a new business resource and actively pursue new revenue sources and participate in strategic development of new business such as RFP responses and proposal writing
  • Manage implementation of integrating offerings and tools and identify opportunities for cross-platform deals, when appropriate
  • Manage the Client Services team which includes: providing adequate training, overseeing and conducting performance reviews, resolving issues/problems, rotating staff, and providing salary recommendations
  • Ensure the use of “best practices” and effective processes across the department and agency

Do You Have…

  • 6+ years of experience within an advertising agency setting
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree, MBA or equivalent business experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience running large engagements with large clients or equivalent
  • Experience with various projects types, including web, mobile, video, brand, and strategic consulting
  • Proven track record of managing multiple accounts successfully
  • Proven negotiation skills experience, especially contract negotiations, with both clients and partners
  • Strong knowledge of Web development technologies and Social landscape
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients by gaining trust and repeated successful delivery of expectations
  • Aptitude to define solutions that will generate measurable results for the client
  • Thorough knowledge of the dynamics of digital and interactive. How each digital and interactive element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing
  • Ability to use  analytical approaches to solve digital/interactive/marketing problems

Interaction Designer

 

The Barbarian Group is looking for an amazing Interaction Designer to join our User Experience team.

Interaction Designers are responsible for defining and documenting the user experience for web sites and applications across all digital platforms.  They work in a highly collaborative team environment with other Interaction Designers, as well as Strategy, Creative and Technology.  Our Interaction Designers are passionate about user-centered design and optimize design solutions from project strategy through execution.

Requires skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge: Understanding of user motivations and behavior, design, digital culture and trends. Should eat, live, and breathe digital and new technologies
  • Craft: Experience creating interaction design deliverables including but not limited to wireframes, site maps, interaction prototypes, personas, competitive audits and user journeys. Have the ability to ideate through sketching. Must serve as the user’s advocate and push for simple, innovative and usable design solutions
  • Collaboration: Thrives working with a multi-disciplinary team from concept to fruition to promote an exchange of ideas and develop world-class executions
  • Communication: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design solutions to both internal teams and clients

What you need:

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years working as an Interaction Designer
  • Minimum of 1 year of Agency and Mobile experience
  • A solid understanding and demonstration of user centered design principles
  • Ability to develop simple and elegant design approaches to complex design problems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and analytical skills
  • Must be organized and able to switch between different projects in a fast-paced environment
