I just read a tweet from
BarackObama asking me,
theSadowski, if I have any questions for the President regarding the economy.
Open for Questions rolled out in December for the President-Elect on Change.gov and has carried over to WhiteHouse.gov. People are encouraged to post questions, in text or video format, directed at our President. Every Thursday, President Obama will answer the highest voted questions.
This truly is marketing at its best. Our “President” has already engaged in 20,000+ “conversations” with normal people in a matter of a couple days. The Obama Administration has continued to push the boundaries of presidential communication, making things personal, in that weird, Facebook stalking, one way conversation sort of way.
I, like many others, am completely fascinated with the
Snuggie explosion (and in a bigger sense, infomercials, see:
SlapChop. In three months, there were 4 million Snuggies sold, a waiting list, and cults forming because of an extra large fleece blanket with sleeves.

It seems we have a new barbarian mascot and he’s helping clean up the streets of Boston (he has lunch in his claws).

Of course, the
big 3 want to get in on the tax payer funded buyout plan. With their businesses in turmoil, I’m not so shocked that they’re asking for some help. To get a piece of the pie, they’re trying to prove worthy and prove they’ll be successful in years to come, strategically thinking of what’s to come for each brand.
