A Night at the Museum - SO INTENSE!
More specifically the SF office attended a carnivale themed night life event at the Academy of Science. The evening started out like any other trip to the AoS. We wandered into the tropical rainforest to check out the butterflies and birds buzzing around.
Mixology Workshop

There’s nothing like a little mulling and shaking with your coworkers after a hard days work. For our August office outing, the SF office went to The Workshop to learn how to mix up a few farm fresh cocktails! Everything was dangerously tasty, which is why I’m posting the recipes here for one and all.

Note: when attending a mixology class with coworkers you may want to change out of your work clothes. Some of us did not dress appropriately for the sticky mess that ensued. Others just couldn’t resist the flounce of a floral apron.

A Shuckin' Good Time in SF
July is the month that unsuspecting tourists come to San Francisco in their summer best and freeze as they try to walk across the Golden Gate bridge in shorts, while true San Franciscans run around with scarves reminding ourselves that we’ll be in our cotton jackets when everyone else is wrapped in wool trudging through snow come winter. To find the summer sun in July, you have to venture outside the city. So for our inaugural office outing we decided to take an hour and half jaunt up north for some warmth, sand, and fresh oysters. Destination: Tomales Bay Oyster Company.

While the weather wasn’t exactly balmy, the hills of Point Reyes were kind enough to hold back the clouds for our picnic.

After a brief shucking lesson we hulled our bags of 60+ oysters to our picnic table covered in goodies from Whole Foods. It wouldn’t be a SF office outing without a cheese plate and some sparkling wine.
I'm a Bee.

I have some exciting news to share – I recently become a Bee! You may not know but I am getting married in two months, the exact same date as my NYC coworker Kristen, so I am all over the internet scouring wedding blogs whenever I can. One of the best of these is the Weddingbee an online community for anyone interested in weddings or marriage. The WB bloggers are a select group of volunteer brides that want to share their wedding planning, inspirations, and experiences in hopes of inspiring others and getting feedback on their ideas. I’ve also discovered that the Bees are sort of a sisterhood behind the scenes and even plan meet-ups. I cannot wait to attend my first Bee hangout. Each chosen blogger gets to pick a cheery icon from the available theme whenever they become a Bee. The icon comes along with a character name so they can post somewhat anonymously. I.. am Miss Sunbeam.

San Francisco Formal Friday:
Lucky for you UPS blessed our office with a sample (blue?) wedding dress for me this Friday. This is the formal-est friday yet. Feast for formal eyes on this.
