Dear Apple Bloggers,

LEAVE STEVE JOBS ALONE.
I’m looking at you CNET, Gizmodo, Engadget, Macrumors, Appleinsider, TUAW, Macenstein, MacNN and any of the other gadget blogs that feel it necessary to get everyone worked up over rumors and speculation about someone’s health.

Man, Nick, I couldn't agree more. It particularly irks me that Gizmodo is using this forced moment of transparency with El Jobso to drag Apple over the coals. "See!" they're saying, "Apple was lying all along!!"

Um, actually, no they weren't. While Steve's decision to not do the Keynote may have been a personal one, it has little to no bearing on why Apple has chosen to stop participating in the future. Fact is, Macworld is a stress-filled, $25 million dollar headache for Apple, the one time of year they are beholden to someone else's schedule. Now that they have the world's attention, they can generate as much buzz and interest (with a limited amount of rumor mongering) at the drop of a hat.

I say bring it. Eat a cheeseburger, Steve, and let's all realize how sucky consumer electronics would be without the Apple influence.
