I Got My Free Dr. Pepper!

pointed out back in November, the Dr. Pepper company made good on their promise to give “everyone in America” a free soda. I managed to snag a coupon (despite the issues with their online signup form), and finally cashed it in today.
Turns out I should have shopped around. The Duane Reade around the corner from our office charged $1.69 for the beverage, but the coupon only covered up to $1.59. That plus tax and bottle deposit resulted in a $0.29 charge.
But hey, I’m not complaining. Mostly free soda! Woo!

I once got 4 free Dr. Peppers in a row. I was driving across the country and got a "free soda" from the yellow cap. And I cashed it in for another Dr. Pepper with a yellow top and got the same glorious result.

That was the highlight of my middle school career.
