probablyTrue - Stupid Twitter Trick #3
It’s been about a month since my last Stupid Twitter Trick. Here’s a quick one: twitter.com/probablyTrue

probablyTrue posts randomly select bite-sized facts to Twitter from Wikipedia twice a day.
It achieves this by pulling random pages from Wikipedia until it finds an article with a first sentence that’s less than 140 characters and looks sort of useful. The first sentence is usually a good summary of the whole article.
Some thing that are identifiable as being uninteresting are skipped, like geographic coordinates or headers of lists.
For extra flavor it uses that article’s associated image as an account icon. In the attached image you can see the coat of arms for Nieby, in Germany.
