Food trucks! We love them, and you do too. We don’t have to tell you why they’re good, you know it already. But maybe what you don’t know is how to find them. They’re mobile, they move around on their wheels. Sure you could check all their Twitter feeds, or hire a private detective to trail them. But how do you really keep a tab all the trucks in your city? Wouldn’t you like to know, at a moment’s notice, exactly (give or take) where these trucks are in relation to you? YOU WOULD NEVER GO HUNGRY AGAIN.

That’s what we thought, anyway. We made a food trucks tracking app. It’s called Gastrodamus. As in Nostradamus for all gastrointestinal subject matter, but mostly food trucks. This app started as an internal project over a year ago and we’ve finally managed to polish it up a bit where we want to share it with all of you hungry, mobile people. It’s free, enjoy!

How come my city isn’t available?
If your city isn’t included it’s probably just because we haven’t gotten around to it. Let us know at gastrodamus@barbariangroup.com and we’ll do what we can.

Where do you get the truck locations from?
We pull them from Twitter using some fairly clever text processing tricks. It’s not 100% reliable but it does get the job done most of the time.

Some of this truck location data is incorrect. Why is that?
Given the automated nature of our truck locating we can’t guarantee the accuracy. We do make available that truck’s tweets and website in case you need to do some on-the-go research yourself.
